At Albrighton we believe taking children on educational visits is an essential part of learning. It enables us to deliver a learning experience which is both practical and memorable, where children benefit from being immersed in a topic and surrounded in meaningful environments which help them build knowledge and understanding. We therefore consider educational visits as a vital part of the curriculum we offer here at Albrighton.
During their time at Albrighton, children will have the opportunity to go on many school visits. We also make extensive use of the local area, to enhance children’s experiences of a wide variety of topics and subjects. In most years, your child will have the opportunity to venture out into the local area, and go on at least one visit further afield. During Year 6, they will also be able to take part in a residential (overnight) visit as they get closer to the end of their primary school years.
As part of our inspiring and engaging curriculum, we also welcome visitors into school to bring subjects to life and give children first-hand experiences whilst immersed into a topic.
