As many of you have noticed, our tree surgeon has been working on the Willow Tree outside the front of school. Unfortunately the tree was decaying inside and needed to be cut right back to avoid it falling dangerously. Over time, the tree will grow back and flourish once again.
Such an important feature of our school, the branches have been put to good use as our tree surgeon has spent time using them to transform our forest area. He has cut the logs and made a stepping-stone trail, walls and new seating around the ‘fire pit’, and used the branches to section the large space into smaller areas the children can use.
What an amazing transformation, and a great use of the old Willow Tree!
